C'est une auberge très agréable,un bon premier pied à terre le temps de trouver un appartement. Elle est grande, les chambres sont confortable, chacune avec une petite salle de bain. Les gens sont sympathique et amicaux, et savent prendre le temps ...

Apres 5 nuits passees a l'auberge, un seul commentaire : je suis ravie de mon sejour. Super accueil de tout le staff; le menage est fait (et tres bien fait!!!)tous les jours, l'auberge est calme et on y dort parfaitement bien, meme en dortoir de 10. Par contre, prevoyez un sweet, la clim fonctionne fort et quand il fait 35 dehors, le choc thermique est saisissant!!!
Bref : une adresse a retenir!
Bravo et merci encore a tout le staff :-)

it is disappointing that the price of beer (for ex) has risen so dramatically. we are travelling students and so on a strict budget. i was told 5.50 for a pint during happy hour. that is a large jump from 4.8 last year. i only say this because i want the guests to be able to enjoy your pub food and beer (at reasonable prices).

So me and 5 other friends are looking to stay here in july because of the Heavy MTL festival in July and we need a place to stay. The Heavy MTL website recommended this place and it looks really nice. Now to my questions.
1) There will be 6 of us. Three 18 year olds, and three 17 year olds. There are 4 boys and 2 girls and we were wondering if we are too young and if you allow the boys and girls to stay in the same room?

3) Would you guys be willing to help us book a taxi to take us to Parc Jean-Dreapeau?

Hello! Three of my friends and I were looking into coming to Montreal from Toronto in December, possibly from the 29th to the 2nd. I tried looking for reservations, but it said none were available. Is this because they aren't available yet, or is there simply no room?
Also, from my understanding, if you have a dorm with four beds, there is a washroom with a shower, correct? and a credit card is only needed to hold the reservations and we can pay cash for our stay, right?

full credit to the hostel staff, in particular chris. The activities were well worth doing and were fun, i did the bike tour and the tam pax tour. They were great. Even went to watch some improv comedy with the group, i thought that would be balls but it was really entertaining. keep up the good work guys!

Just wish to tell you guys that your hostel was pretty neat and I had a good time in Montréal. Your staff was pretty cool too. Thanks for the mademoiselle who checked me in (23/03) and the young man who checked me out (4:45 am on 26/03), as well as another young man who reserved the L'Aérobus for me...And not the least, the guy who served breakfast at the café.
Just one more question: does your hostel sell any hostel-related souvenir items on line such as cups or t-shirts? If you guys do, it would be really cool to get some.
I missed the bar tour on 25/03 because I had some last minute things to do, but perhaps next time. Thanks again and I hope to be back in Montréal another time.

Me and my friends are thinking about staying here in February. We will be a mix of 17 year olds and 18 year olds, however, none will be related. What is your policy with allowing 17 year olds to stay there? Can they stay with written consent of their parents even if their parents will not be there?

Stayed there over the last weekend of September '07 and had a great time in that city. The location of the hostel was very convenient to the underground Metro which made travelling the city easy. The staff had good knowledge of the city and the two tours I went on with Chris and Julian were fun. The staff was also good answering my questions and the food from the diner was also good. I thought the rooms were good and the bathrooms fairly clean considering the volume of traffic in that place. All in all, my very first hostelling experience was an 8 out of 10 as there is always room for improvement. Possibly offer lockers that I can provide a lock for. All I can think of for now. I'll be arriving to Montreal on Tusday 09/18 and then travelling to Quebec and from there south to get to know other places like Toronto and Niagara Falls. The trip will take about 2 weeks.

I just got the news that I've been accepted to study at McGill as an exchange student in the coming year. I was wondering if you people know the McGill housing market. Bonjour! I am coming from Scotland at the end of September to visit a friend who is studying in Montreal - Plans have not been confirmed as yet...and probably will be last minute!....so I was wondering how easy it is to book a room at HI Montreal or the other Hi Hostels at this time of year (I presume it is a little quieter)? Or even turning up on the day on the off chance there is a bed available?? Been on a East Coast Moose Tour last summer, which was great fun!
